Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
1) Christians Have A Peculiar Birth

First christians are peculiar to the world because they have a peculiar birth. A sinner becomes a christian and born again by choice. No one has a choice about his first physical birth. Brother Bob does not remember when he came out of his mother's womb on July 21, 1962. But Brother Bob remembers when he got saved and born again on June 2, 1983 after he saw his father survive from drowning on a canoe; The next day when my dad said Jesus is real, Brother Bob accepted Jesus as His Lord and has preached Jesus for 41 years. Accepting Jesus as my Lord was the best decision Brother Bob ever made during his life.

Like Brother Bob all christians have a peculiar birth by choice that they remember unlike their physical birth that is not remembered. Christians remember when they got saved, where they got saved, how they got saved, and why they got saved. The reason sinners get saved is to escape the everlasting torment of hell fire. Right now make a choice to get saved and receive peace with our Lord Jesus. Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe in your heart the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

1 Peter 2:9 tells us that christians are peculiar to the world saying But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praise of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Getting born again with Jesus is a choice made by sinners that is peculiar to the world. John 1:12 speaks about a christian's peculiar birth by choice saying But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Here are some more scriptures that speak about a christian's peculiar birth by choice. Romans 10:13 says For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. John 6:37 says All that the Father giveth me shall come to me and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. People can reject and cast you out, but Jesus will never cast out anyone that comes to Him by faith. Finally Joshua 24:15 speaks about the christian's peculiar birth by choice saying And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; Whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

And Sing The Words Below For The Song
I've Had A Birth I Can't Remember And One I Can't Forget

When I came into this old world; I just can't recall
I don't remember anything about my birth at all

But one night down on my knees in prayer; Oh I never will regret
I've had a birth I can't remember and one I can't forget

Unto the world it made no difference; Some even frowned
But the angels rejoiced when my name was written down

Unworthy of His mercy; Still He paid my debt
I've had a birth I can't remember and one I can't forget

It never made the morning paper; It never made the evening news
When I took off this old man and I put on the new
My sins were cast into forgetfulness far as east is from the west
I've had a birth I can't remember and one I can't forget

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
2) Christians Have A Peculiar Book

Second christians are peculiar to the world because they have a peculiar book called the 1611 King James (KJV) bible. The KJV bible is peculiar because it's absolutely perfect with no mistakes. The 1611 KJV bible is God's infallible, inerrant, inspired, indestructable, perfect, and preserved Word of God without one contradiction, mistake, or error in it described by Psalm 19:7; The law of the Lord (KJV bible) is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. Proverbs 30:5-6 tells us Every Word of God is pure; He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him; Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Like the girl pictured above, if you read your KJV bible before people in a restaurant or carry your KJV bible for all to see at Walmart, Target, or any downtown crowded city street, you'll learn quickly why the KJV bible is peculiar; You're guaranteed to get some stares and glares; People won't pay attention to anyone carrying a newspaper downtown, but they'll notice you carrying a KJV bible. It's good to carry a KJV bible but just the anointing on a man's life will get him noticed. Proverbs 18:16 says A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. Peter and John's anointing made room for them and got them noticed; Acts 4:13 says Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The KJV bible (that is the Lord Jesus) is peculiar because it never changes and lasts forever. The Lord Jesus said at Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Jesus said at Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away.

The KJV bible is peculiar because it's alive and gives life. Hebrews 4:12 says For the Word of God is quick (alive) and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Jesus said at John 6:63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life. Choose to daily read and memorize the KJV bible because it is the only book that has survived from the beginning of time and will remain forever in God's kingdom.

Psalm 12:6 says The words of the Lord are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of earth; purified seven times; Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The 1611 KJV bible is peculiar because it's the seventh perfect translation that God will keep and preserve from this generation forever. There were six prior bibles (Hebrew, Syriac, Aramaic, Greek, Latin, and German) before the perfect seventh English KJV bible; There were six prior English bibles (Tyndale, Matthew, Coverdale, Geneva, Bishops, Great Bible) before the perfect seventh English KJV bible. Any other subsequent bible translation after the 1611 KJV bible is flawed and not perfect. The Philadelphia church that existed when the 1611 KJV bible was created kept and preserved the KJV bible according to Revelation 3:10; Because thou hast kept the Word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The KJV bible is peculiar because it records history before it happens. The man of God at 1 Kings 13:1-3 spoke about Josiah before Josiah was born. The man of God said at 1 Kings 13:2 Behold a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. Outside of Jesus, Josiah is the greatest king to ever live on this earth. 2 Kings 23:25 says And like unto him (Josiah) was there no king before him, that turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses, neither after him arose there any like him. As the man of God predicted, Josiah was born, became king, and burned down idols while he stopped sodomy same sex marriage and condemned the innocent killing of babies (abortion in our modern society).

Isaiah in the KJV bible spoke about Cyrus before Cyrus was born. During the Babylonian captivity Isaiah said a man named Cyrus would free the Jews from Babylonian captivity and allow the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. This occurred after Babylonian king Belshazzar drank wine from the golden vessels of the temple. After Belshazzar saw the writing on the wall Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin, the kingdom of Babylon was divided and given to Cyrus of the Medes and Persians. Then Cyrus allowed the Jews to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. Isaiah accurately spoke about Cyrus hundreds of years earlier at Isaiah 44:28-Isaiah 45:1-7.

The KJV bible is peculiar because it declares that man is sinful and only the Lord Jesus is perfect. This is peculiar because an arrogant proud man would not declare that man is sinful. But many KJV bible verses declare that man is sinful needing a Saviour named Jesus for salvation. Isaiah 64:6 says But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Ecclesiastes 7:20 says There is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good and sinneth not. DL Moody said I've never met a man that gave me more trouble than myself. Every morning when you look in the mirror at yourself say Now what are you up to today.

Here are some more scriptures that declare man to be sinful from the peculiar KJV bible. Psalm 39:5 says Behold thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee; verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity; Selah. Romans 3:10 says There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way; they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
3) Christians Have Peculiar Behavior

Third christians are peculiar to the world because they have peculiar behavior. After salvation 2 Corinthians 7:1 says Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Titus 2:12 says Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world,; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Christians need to be examples of holiness to lost sinners to win souls to Jesus. Christians are the only example of Jesus anyone ever sees. 2 Corinthians 3:2 says Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. In other words, christians shouldn't cuss, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and pot, fornicate, and gossip. Christians should be peculiar to the world with behavior that shows no bitterness or envy. Christians should daily practice Matthew 5:16; Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Christians have peculiar behavior. They don't act like the world, dress like the world, or look like the world. If you get your thrills from the world, you are walking away from Jesus. If the world rejects you, you are getting closer to Jesus. James 4:4 says Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. It's easy to flow downstream with the ungodly world's current. Instead, go upstream against the world's current and live for Jesus daily.

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
4) Christians Fight A Peculiar Battle

Fourth christians are peculiar to the world because they fight a peculiar battle. Christians use unusual weapons to fight the devil. Christians' weapons are not guns, knives, hand grenades, or fists. The weapons christians use to fight the devil are the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, prayer, and the Word of God. Christians fight a spiritual warfare with spiritual weapons (not physical weapons). 2 Corinthians 10:3 says For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Ephesians 6:12 says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The most powerful weapon against the devil is the blood of Jesus. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Every day say in Jesus name send the angels to bind the devil around me and send him to the pit; Then by faith say in Jesus name have the angels of God send the blood of Jesus over my home, car, job, and wherever I travel each day. The blood of Jesus that is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8) is a fence of protection that keeps the devil away from christians.

Be a good soldier for Jesus daily and fight the good fight of faith. 2 Timothy 2:3 says Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Obey James 4:7; Submit yourselves therefore to God; Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Rejoice and say Proverbs 28:1; The wicked flee when no man pursueth; but the righeous are bold as a lion. Use the name of Jesus to cast out devils. Mark 16:17 says And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils.

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
5) Christians Receive Peculiar Blessings

Fifth christians are peculiar to the world because they receive peculiar blessings. Proverbs 10:22 says The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 28:20 says A faithful man shall abound with blessings, but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Rejoice and claim the blessing promised by Ephesians 3:20: Now unto Him (Jesus) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

I conclude this bible study today by saying christians might be peculiar to the world but christians are precious treasures and jewels to God. The Lord Jesus said at Malachi 3:17 And they (christians) shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts; In that day when I make up my jewels, and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength. Quit Your Fretting

Quit Your Fretting
1) The Cure For Worry Is Faith

Don't worry; Quit your fretting. Psalm 37:1-8 says fret not three times. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. In other words keep your eyes on Jesus and off the people. Wait on Jesus to fix your problems and worry will disappear. Whatever you need just ask for it in Jesus name and Jesus will fix the problem. Jesus said at John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name (Jesus), that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Psalm 37:4 says Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Jeremiah 32:17 tells us that there is nothing too hard with God; Ah Lord God! behold thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm and there is nothing too hard for thee. Jesus said at Matthew 19:26 With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. When man says no, God says yes; Jesus can fix anything by faith.

Psalm 37:7 says Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. In other words the cure for fretting and worrying is resting and trusting in Jesus. Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. When you rest, wait, and trust in Jesus, the Holy Spirit will speak to you with answers to your problems. Isaiah 30:21 describes how the Holy Spirit speaks to us saying And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Don't Hurry, Worry, And Bury
Instead Cure Worry By Faith
Worry Ends Where Faith Begins

Keep Moving and Working For Jesus And You Won't Worry
Every Day Pray, Study The Word Of God, And Attend Church When You Can
This Will Allow You To Rest In Jesus Free From Worry

They say that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. Keep moving and working for Jesus and you won't worry. Isaiah 26:3 says Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee (Lord Jesus); because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever; for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. Proverbs 23:21 says For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty; and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Blessed Is The Man Who Is Too Busy To Worry In The Daytime
And Too Sleepy To Worry At Night

With Jesus we will find rest and peace to overcome worry. Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Jesus also said at Mark 6:31 Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.

Quit Your Fretting
2) Why Worry When You Can Pray

Worry is a conversation you have with yourself
about things you can not change
Prayer is a conversation you have with God
about things He can change

No one can pray and worry at the same time
When we worry, we aren't praying
When we pray, we aren't worrying

Don't Worry About Temporary Problems In This World
Instead Be Concerned About Where You Will Spend Eternity
After This Momentary Vapour Of Life On This Earth

A survey asked Americans to say what worries them the most. More than 70% said that they worried about wasting too much time watching TV and chatting for hours on facebook and cellphones. Some worried about not reading enough books. Some worried about failing to attend church and not being active enough in community affairs. But no one was concerned about their personal sins and a future judgment determining where they would spend eternity (either in peaceful heaven with Jesus or in hell tormented forever after rejecting Jesus). Don't be like most people who spend four years in college studying for a career that lasts about fifty years and fail to take five minutes to decide where they will spend eternity. Decide right now to get saved and spend eternity with Jesus in peaceful heaven forever. Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Quit Your Fretting
3) Overcome Worry By Daily Giving Your Problems To Jesus
Because No Matter What Happens We Win With Jesus

Overcome worry by daily giving your problems to Jesus because no matter what happens we win with Jesus. Psalm 55:22 promises Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Let go and let God. Every day by faith say I am crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20) and see your problems crucified and destroyed on the cross of Calvary with Jesus that is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8). 1 Peter 5:7 says Casting all your care upon Him (Jesus), for He careth for you. And note the payoff stated at 1 Peter 5:10; But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Christians don't need to worry because we always win with Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place. Because we win with Jesus, step out in faith without worrying by letting your light for Jesus shine everywhere while you travel and preach God's Word wherever God leads you trusting Jesus to keep you safe from danger at all times. Obey Matthew 5:16 that says Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Quit Your Fretting
3) Some Blessed Sayings To Help You Overcome Worry

An entire sea of water can't sink a ship
unless it gets inside of the ship
Similarly, the negativity of the world can't put you down
unless you allow it to get inside of you

Birds can fly around your head in the air
Just don't let them make a nest there

You can't change the past
But you can ruin the present
By worrying about the future

Worry is the advanced interest paid on troubles that seldom come

Worry is like a rocking chair
It will give you something to do but it won't get you anywhere

George Muller said
The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith
The beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety

Quit Your Fretting
4) To Overcome Worry Take No Thought About Your Needs
Just Trust Jesus Daily For Your Needs
And Like The Sparrows Jesus Will Fix Everything And Take Care Of You

To overcome worry take no thought about your needs. Jesus will provide all your needs if you daily deny sin and walk with Jesus. Jesus said at Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment. Behold the fowls (birds) of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; Yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature. It's amazing how Jesus feeds the millions of birds each day. Jesus told us that we are much better than birds and that He will feed us daily and take care of all our needs. Jesus told us at Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 6:28 says And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith. Therefore take no thought saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

A Blessed Poem Encouraging Us Not To Worry
By Taking No Thought For Our Needs

Just as noisy common sparrows can be found most anywhere
Unto some just worthless creatures; If they perish who would care

Yet our heavenly Father numbers every creature great and small
Caring even for the sparrows; Marking when to earth they fall

If his childrens' hairs are numbered; Why should we be filled with fear
He has promised all that's needful; And in trouble to be near

Don't Worry And Complain Like A Monk Who Complained For 30 Years
Instead Take No Thought For Your Needs And Thank Jesus For All Your Needs

A monk agreed to live in a monastery for 30 years
and only say two words every 10 years
Note that a monastery is a home for unwed fathers

After 10 years the monk said Bed Hard
After 20 years the monk said Food Bad
After 30 years the monk said I Quit
After 30 years everyone said I'm glad that monk's gone
All he did was complain for 30 years

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study encourages people everywhere not to fret or worry but to trust Jesus with joy daily to fix all their problems and supply all their needs. Jesus Refuses None

Jesus Refuses None

Jesus refuses none. Jesus said at John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. In other words Jesus promised that he would not cast out murderers, liars, thieves, prostitutes, drug addicts, alcoholics, and criminals that repent and come to Him. To anyone reading this remember that you are not too evil to come to Jesus today and get saved. The meanest criminal that murdered, robbed banks, raped, and lied can come to Jesus and get saved. Jesus did not exclude anyone from salvation; Jesus promised Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Get saved and come to Jesus today and let the blood of Jesus wash away your past sins and make you white as pure snow; Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

John said at Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say Come; And let him that heareth say Come. And let him that is athirst Come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Jesus is not like organizations or clubs that reject people who don't have enough money or belong to a wrong social standing. If you come to Jesus, He will accept you and won't refuse you. Jesus won't say I'm too busy, I'm out to lunch, I don't have time for you, or come back later while I place your call on hold. Jesus is on the mainline tell him what you want. The Jesus line is never busy; Call Him up and tell Him what you want. Jesus will always answer your call and refuse no one. Jesus promised us at Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Someone might say How can I know that it's true that Jesus refuses none and won't remember my sins? Tell this person God who is Jesus can not lie and will not cast out anyone that comes to Him by faith. Romans 3:4 says Let God be true; but every man a liar. Titus 1:2 says In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie, promised before the world began. Remember whatever Jesus says is true today because Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Jesus refuses none and will in no wise (meaning under any circumstances) cast anyone out. Jesus is waiting in heaven (always awake and never sleeping) hoping people come to Him for peace and salvation. Psalm 121:4 says Behold He (Jesus) that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Jesus charges no fees and heals everyone that comes to Him by faith. After anyone comes to Jesus, Jesus will constantly pray for that person to overcome this evil world. Jesus' prayer for believers is listed at John 17:15 that says I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

How comforting to realize that Jesus receives and can save thieves, criminals, liars, prostitutes, and murderers. But after salvation through grace by faith in Jesus that can not be lost, Jesus wants people to stop sinning. Paul said at Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein. Stop sinning after salvation or else God will chastise you and give you a whooping. And if christians keep sinning, they can die before their time. Romans 6:23 that applies to all people including christians says For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Refuses None
1) If You Were A Thief, Jesus Will Receive You

If you were a thief that robbed, stole cars, embezzeled money, or lied on your taxes, Jesus will receive you if you come to Him. Jesus received and saved a thief by Him on the cross. Luke 23:42 says And he (the thief) said unto Jesus, Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Jesus accepted the thief with no other conditions and saved him. Revelation 1:5 says Unto Him (Jesus) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. In other words Jesus loves you as you are and then washes away your sins. Jesus did not first say He would wash your sins and then love you. Jesus first loved us as we were in your filthy sins (Come as you are) and then washed us white as snow by His precious blood shed at the cross of Calvary.

The ground is level at the foot of the cross. We all are sinners needing to be saved by Jesus to avoid hell. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There are no big I's and little you's with Jesus. Everyone needs to repent of their sins and accept Jesus to be free from the sorrow of this world. Jesus doesn't want anyone to perish in their sins and wants all to come to repentance with salvation. 2 Peter 3:9 says The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2) If You Were A Liar, Jesus Will Receive You

If you were a liar, Jesus will receive you. Jesus received Peter after Peter lied and said he didn't know Jesus. Luke 22:55 says And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them. but a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him and said, This man was also with Him (Jesus). And he denied Him saying Woman I know Him not. Peter cussed like a sailor and denied that he knew Jesus to a maid on the porch, a damsel in the palace, and to Malchus (the man that had his ear injured by Peter that Jesus healed). After Peter's third denial, the cock crew and you had a preachin' chicken and a chicken preacher face to face.

Peter lied and denied that he knew Jesus three times. But when Jesus met Peter after the resurrection, Jesus forgave Peter three times and told Peter to feed my sheep (John 21:16). Even though Peter was a liar, Jesus forgave and blessed Peter to preach during Pentecost and save three thousand lost sinners. Jesus blessed Peter with a great anointing where Peter's shadow healed multitudes of people from diseases. Like Peter, if you used to be a liar and cheater, Jesus can save, forgive, and use you to be a great servant of God.

3) If Your Past Sins Have Made You Helpless, Jesus Will Receive You

If your past sins have made you helpless, Jesus will receive you. If your past sins of taking drugs, drinking alcohol, and whoremongering have made you helpless with sickness, Jesus will receive you, heal you, and use you for His glory. Jesus received and healed a helpless lame man by the pool of Bethesda who had been sick for 38 years in one second. Jesus did what the lame man could not do in an instant. When man says it is impossible, Jesus says all things are possible with God.

John 5:5 says And a certain man was there (by the pool of Bethesda) which had an infirmity thirty eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, He saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered Him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled to put me into the pool But while I am coming, another steppeth down before me; Jesus saith unto him Rise, take up thy bed and walk; And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked and on the same day was the sabbath. Like this man by the pool of Bethesda, come to Jesus now and Jesus will receive and heal you while you become a blessed servant for Jesus.

And Sing The Words Below For Christ Receiveth Sinful Men
Jesus Refuses None

Sinners Jesus will receive; Sound this Word of Grace to all
Who the heavenly pathway leave; All who linger; All who fall

Sing it o'er and o'er again; Christ receiveth sinful men
Make the message clear and plain; Christ receiveth sinful men

Come and He will give your rest; Trust Him for His Word is plain
He will take the sinfulest; Christ receiveth sinful men

Now my heart condemns me not; Pure before the law I stand
He who cleansed me from all spot; satisfied its last demand

Christ receiveth sinful men; Even me with all my sin
Purged from every spot and stain; Heaven with Him I enter in

4) If You Were A Murderer, Jesus Will Receive You

If you were a murderer, Jesus will receive you. Jesus received and saved Saul (Paul) who was a murderer that killed christians. Even though Saul who later became Paul consented as a murderer to Stephen's death, Jesus forgave Saul for murder and blessed Paul to become a great preacher for God. After salvation Paul proclaimed at 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. If Jesus can forgive Paul for murder, Jesus can forgive any past murderer or any sinner that reads this bible study.

Jesus also forgave King David for murdering Uriah the Hittite to cover up his sin of adultery with Bathsheba (Uriah's wife). After David repented, Jesus blessed David to have a son named Solomon who became the wisest man to live beside Jesus. Jesus forgave Moses for murdering an Egyptian and blessed Moses to lead the people of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. If Jesus can forgive David and Moses for murder, Jesus can forgive anyone reading this for their past sins and bless them greatly. Come to Jesus today and receive peace and don't allow your past sins to allow guilt to keep you from Jesus. Jesus refuses none.

5) If You Were A Prostitute or Adulterer, Jesus Will Receive You

If you were a prostitute or adulterer, Jesus will receive you. Jesus received the woman at the well who was married five times and the sixth man she was with was not her husband. Jesus told the woman at the well at John 4:18 For thou hast had five husbands, and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband; in that saidst thou truly. Even though this woman at the well had great sin, Jesus blessed her with salvation and joy; John 4:28 says The woman then left her waterpot and went her way into the city and saith to the men, Come see a man which told me all things that ever I did; is not this the Christ? Wow this woman at the well brought all the men she slept with as a harlot to Jesus and led these men to Jesus and salvation.

Now if Jesus can receive, forgive, and bless this prostitute woman at the well who was with six men and probably hundreds of men, Jesus can receive, forgive, and bless any prostitute or adulterer that is reading this bible study. Jesus also blessed a prostitute harlot named Rahab who repented and feared God while she blessed the spies from Israel. Rahab (a former prostitute) was blessed by Jesus to survive in Jericho and become the great grandparent to Jesus listed in Jesus' geneology in Matthew 1. Usually when you see the name Rahab in the bible it says Rahab the harlot. But when Rahab is connected to Jesus at Matthew 1:5, Rahab is no longer called a harlot (just Rachab or Rahab). Like Rahab, when anyone comes to Jesus, Jesus will remember your sin no more (Jeremiah 31:34).

6) Even Good Religious People Who Try Not To Sin Need To Receive Jesus

Even good religious people who try not to sin need to receive Jesus. Nicodemus was a good religious person who did not lie, steal, drink, or cheat. But Nicodemus needed to accept Jesus as Lord to get saved. Good works could not save Nicodemus. Jesus did not refuse Nicodemus but offered him salvation saying at John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Like Nicodemus, Jesus tells all good religious people, Ye must be born again and won't refuse to offer them salvation if they repent, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Man's good works can not save him. Isaiah 64:6 says But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags, and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Psalm 39:5 says Behold thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee; Verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Even the best of men on this earth sin and need to accept Jesus for salvation. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith (in Jesus alone); and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Don't Allow Guilt About Past Sins Stop You From Receiving Jesus

Don't allow guilt about past sins stop you from receiving Jesus. Jesus refuses none. Psalm 51:17 says The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. In other words Jesus will not refuse or reject anyone who is contrite (which means repents of their past sins). Come to Jesus right now and Jesus will forgive you and receive you. 1 John 1:9 promises If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Remember the blessed quote from Corrie Ten Boom above that says God buries our sins in the depths of the sea and then puts up a sign that reads, "No fishing." Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
